IT has grown from being a one man style of operation, businesses need teams as they grow to support and uniformly understand their needs. It is a hard act to follow, but Commuserv with a technically focused team are able to provide this commercial desire and specialise in many aspects of business. The initial business started with 2 staff and has grown organically through honest service and consistency. Our work is what keeps Commuserv servicing corporate entities not any fixed contracts or written agreements.

We are able to provide help desk support 8am to 8pm and have people within the team dedicated to this focus. The team not only have the core server and workstation capabilities, but have Cisco, Blackberry, Microsoft and Austel Open Licence certifications to ensure a team can service appropriately and have specialists. This has lead to many of the major communication vendors choosing Commuserv for their customers assured that work will be completed as promised.


John Caruso - Director

John is the founder and creator of Commuserv, and has been at the leading edge of information and communication business analysis. His ability to convert concepts into fully reliable commercial systems for any type of business, local or global has driven the growth and loyalty that Commuserv experiences.

His vision is extraordinary on how to better service customers through enhanced tracking systems and monitoring solutions. The ability to work well with third party software integrators has seen John time and time again re-invent for his customers and their business’.

John also has a keen passion for general business, hospitality and retail. This has lead to no nonsense design of strong, reliable and consistent networks, support programmes, and processes that ensure his team follow the belief he has – the customer needs are our goals. This has lead to the creation of the ServeIT Point of Sale solution for restaurant, take away, cafe, bar’s and nightclubs. It has also lead to a completely new style of audit for companies known as audit-IT.

His experience with general commerce has seen him present to audiences local and Australia wide on best practices and ways to improve operations.


Julie Caruso - Chief Financial Controller

Julie has been with the business since day one and specialises in finance and payroll administration with 25 years experience in bookkeeping and MYOB. She is extremely astute with everything accounting and focuses on ensuring all that deal with Commuserv on a money level are paid on time and as promised. This is an extremely important part of any business, but one the team of Commuserv value very much as the majority of our suppliers recommend to their customers our services.


Peter Caruso -Senior Server Technician and Blackberry Ultimate

Peter Caruso is the longest serving employee to Commuserv. His work is his pride, and is one of the most focused fighters to customer satisfaction coupled with one of the highest levels of Blackberry skills in the state. He has come from a computer science and electrical background and has experienced knowledge of everything wired and unwired.

His proactive diagnosis and immediate response energy resolves issues before they become interfering. Peter has high analytical skills and research capabilities, which is crucial when aiming to revolutionise and support leading businesses, as they attempt to be cutting edge providers in their associated space.


Rohan Macky - Business Development Manager

Rohan has over 10 years experience in the IT arena. Coming from the large end of Internet Service Providers he has a keen focus and understanding of what is required pre-sales to ensure the customers goals are aligned with Commuserv’s technical staff. His ability to commercialise technology concepts is second to none and focuses on customer relationships, ensuring our technical team are clear on customer requirements proposed and the review of deployments and general customers.

Rohan also has significant strength in Cisco deployments at a pre-technical level. Whether it is server, workstation, network or any service Commuserv has to offer, he is your best starting point to unleashing to power of team Commuserv.


Paul Dobek - Senior Server Technician

Paul Dobek delivers a no-nonsense style of practice to Commuserv. His research and experience in this industry time and time again provide the accolades that have been testament to his high level of customer service and satisfaction.

His experience with many of the major accounting systems and the best practices on setup over small and large scale networks, has provided re-assurance to customers old and new that we as a team at Commuserv have what it takes to not only deploy industry standard and approved technologies but to customise these with applications and solutions that reduce third party interraction.


Ronnie Beshara - Senior Technician

We are glad to welcome Ronnie Beshara as one of our new senior technician’s. With 7 years senior experience in server placement and customer support he is a very needed and welcome member of the Commuserv team.


Rony Khoury - Senior Support Officer

Rony is the man in the background. He is one of the most appreciated members of the team at Commuserv. He is an extremely specialised programmer and server specialist who man’s the help desk to ensure the customers get an experienced and quality first level of support with any style of problem.

His role in the business is vital to our customers, and his well-honed skills in visualising and interpreting a customer's issue over the telephone and pursuing to its completion are second to none. His infinite patience and importance to our day to day operations cannot be understated.


Christophe Boutron - Senior POS Manager


Christophe has over 20 years of experience in the IT arena and brings a very level headed accurate approach to our team. He is extremely skilled in all areas of electronics and is able to deploy servers and networks, but finds his core specialty at Commuserv in the point of sale deployment arena.

Christophe controls our point of sale team and is the gateway to our software developers, POS trainers and installers. He is in charge of all ServeIT POS software managed hospitality sites and delivers at all stages with customer satisfaction at an extremely high level.


Andrew Colliver - Junior Technical Engineer

Andrew is the newest face on the team at Commuserv. His role here is to help man the help desk and assist onsite. His skill set includes Microsoft workstation, server, Symantec applications and some minor Linux skills.


Jesse Sumner - POS and Cabling Specialist

Jesse has been a proud team member of Commuserv for almost 5 years. Initially with a focus on everything electronic, he has extremely specialised electrical engineering skills that have helped our customers revive lost data and equipment that has been otherwise advised as lost. Coupled with his vast experience and knowledge of Point of Sale environments, Jesse is equipped to support the POS hardware and software needs of your business.

David Booth - Hardware Specialist

David has been a proud team member of Commuserv for almost 3 years. David specialises in hardware diagnostics and fault finding on anything hardware related. He also is the main team member that quality assures any electronic equipment before it is disbursed on the field ensuring before it is delivered to you it has the latest updates hardware and software deployed.

Warranty equipment and the monitoring and testing of these is also a responsibility of David’s. He is a great, valuable and consistent member of team Commuserv.


Helen Gavini - Administration

One of the main faces of Commuserv. Helen has been with the company for in excess of 5 years. From ensuring that customers are informed of licence renewals, to answering phones and disbursing bills, Helen is one of the friendly faces that will greet you whether you call, or drop in to see us.


Chris Featherstone - Administration

Addressing a wide range of administrative jobs in the team, Chris has been a team member for over a year. She is responsible for customers invoicing and payments, and is waiting to greet you when you call, or drop in to see us.


Ian March - Senior Developer


Originally from Canada, Ian has spent several years as a senior software veteran for IBM and Motorola in North America. Since moving to Australia, Ian has continued to help drive leading Microsoft Gold partners in developing innovate software solutions.

With a passion to create custom unique software, in recent years, Ian has shifted his focus from software solutions to custom product development. After the successful implementation of a custom Point of Sale product for the Hair Salon industry, Ian decided to join forces with Commuserv and leading software Architects to develop an industry leading product for the Hospitality Industry.

As a founding director of Serious Technology and one of the principle architects of Serious Technology, Ian’s software background and creative vision helps guide the Serious Technology team in building a unique and innovate Point of Sale software solution.


Sean Walker - Senior Developer


Sean, one of the founding Serious Technology directors, brings to the team a wealth of Software Development and Project Management experience; with this background Sean is able to elicit customer requirements and develop an information solution that meets and exceeds those requirements.

Sean excels in meeting customer needs, using his application development expertise to direct the team in how to design, develop, and deliver the solution. Sean is one of the key architects in the ServeIT Point of Sale Software for the Hospitality market.

Sean, originally from Canada, spent 10 years working with 1st tier organisations owned by Microsoft and Bill Gates. Settling in Adelaide, Sean joined with the other directors to form Serious Technology and create a company that is changing the way the hospitality industry is served.


Jack Sumner - Web Designer

Jack specialises in the graphic and web design that you see here and on many of our communications, client web sites and customised software developed. He has an extremely keen eye for design and helps customers dreams become a visual reality.


Daniel Ronis


Daniel has over 13 years experience in the financial and telecommunication industries. He has worked in the financial services industry in both accounting and financial planning capacities.

This background has given him strong analytical ability that allows comprehensive analysis of companies’ telecommunications usage and also the ability to decipher complex offers by the network providers. In the telecommunications industry he was involved in corporate sales and account management for numerous network providers. Daniel’s role is to develop the business by providing market leading telecommunication solutions and ongoing management of these implemented solutions.


Alex Merullo - Junior Technician

Alex has been in a part-time capacity with Commuserv since 2009. Upon completing his schooling Alex has joined the team of Commuserv as a full time junior technician whilst doing further studies in the Information Technology space. He is an extremely willing, friendly and ambitious team member at Commuserv with experience in all areas of Microsoft workstation technology, hardware upgrades, virus removal and warehousing.


Joshua Richardson - Part-Time Internal Operations

Joshua has been an invaluable part of the Commuserv team since 2008. His focus has been on beta testing all applications developed in the Commuserv house both for external customers and our internal management. He is the youngest extreme at Commuserv with a brilliant skill set ranging from SQL to PHP code basis and has really seen applications developed and deployed with the maximum customer satisfaction.

Joshua also focuses on development improvements to the Commuserv internal systems that manage all customer information, internal tracking systems and further enhancements to these systems and whilst part time his every spare hour is focused on making Commuserv the powerhouse required to support you.


Grantley Souter -ServeIT Sales Specialist

Grantley has the flavour of Hospitality and Adelaide in his blood. With a background in successfully managing, owning and operating many local food and beverage businesses, his focus is on the sale, promotion and customer management of the ServeIT software which has been created through our sister company Serious Technologies.

Grantley brings an extremely welcomed perspective to customers in the food and beverage industry and is able to interpret the needs of each individual business and ensure the software delivers on expectations and translates to every ServeIT customers continued success and growth through efficiencies and savings through high end hospitality management software.
